i am gearing up for my next install for the renfrow family… phase 2!
soon after completing the first phase they contacted me to start designs for their playroom & porch. i was thrilled!

the playroom: 

the couples current office/junk room is getting a new purpose as the kids playroom, it is located right off the foyer but luckily has french doors so that it can be closed off and hidden when they plan to have guests over and such.  i already had a fabric in mind for this room… a fun brick pattern with multiple colors, good for girls & boys.

i plan to pull out the navy & aqua, have pops of pink and a touch of orange in this space. we also need storage and seating and definitely lighting since the room does not have an overhead fixture…

the custom storage cabinets will provide lots of room to hide toys and games away, the bench seat is a place to read and settle down, i chose a small kids table with chairs for arts & crafts. the floor pillows provide cushion for story time or for parents when this family has playdates. i am excited to see this room come together, love the color combo!

the porch: 

the renfrow’s home has lovely screened-in porch off the back, its been empty since they moved in and they are ready to get it furnished for summer cookouts and fun.
they need a place to eat, a place to sit and a little bit of storage out here-

i came across a sofa on craigslist and quickly scooped it up for $100 + $25 truck rental… i thought it was a score! of course it needs to be reupholstered, but it will be good as new when i get done with it!

the palette for this outdoor space is a combination of navy & aqua with pops of yellow.

this space should be a cozy hangout for this family of 5 –

i am trying to get my own screened-in porch finished up for the summer months too!
i just wish this pollen would move on out! 🙂
