installed: O’neal Office

Last week I wrapped up the install for Dr. O’neal’s home office and I couldn’t be happier with the result. My client, Lisa, contacted me wanting to finish off her husbands home office as a surprise for his birthday in August. I was happy to help and was up for the challenging requests for this space:

1. Desk: needs to have storage, filing capabilities, a back panel to hide wires, and a hole on top for wires to drop into.
I didn’t want a typical executive desk, since they tend to be so bulky and traditional- not the style we were going for.  I proposed many different styles & colors but in the end we went for a desk with nice lines & a more modern feel.

2. Windows: @ 20 feet high need curtain panels to soften the space up some..
Since this was my first rodeo dealing with such high ceilings, I was a little nervous, but my seamstress made the panels so beautifully & perfect,  there was really no reason to fret. My installer hung them without any problems, I was just nervous the whole time while he was up 20′ in the air.

3. Seating: for hubby was a must. Lisa wanted him to have a place to lounge, read and wind down after a long day at work.
I proposed a grey leather library chair with a matching ottoman, which was the perfect choice for this space.  The best part of the seating area was a super cool mini bar cabinet that I came across. It hides bottles and glasses inside and is a great addition to this manly office.

The space turned out exactly how I envisioned it but even better with accessories 🙂

I am very pleased with the space and I think the O’neal’s are too! Up next is their guest room install, and I can’t wait to get that room done!! #lovemyjob

Cheers!
