I am so thrilled to be helping my long time high school friend Catherine & her hubby Michael on their new home. I hadn’t seen her in 10 years so it was great catching up and seeing their house in Raleigh.
I am working on several rooms in their home but this post is devoted to the master bedroom..
The couple’s anniversary is coming up in October and this makeover is a gift they are giving to each other! So sweet!! The plan is to get new everything… Its time for a grown up look and time to retire the furniture from both of their college days 🙂

So, here’s the game plan:

A king size bed was a must for this couple, so I am proposing a cream tufted headboard with all new neutral bedding. This will make for a very clean look. Bright fun pillows will embody the bed, and dark mahogany night stands will anchor this side of the room. Neutral linen curtain panels will keep the room looking nice and airy.
I am still a sucker for greek key trim, so why not, for added detail on the curtains.

The other side of the room will get a large dresser with plenty of storage. Since this couple is a little more traditional, we opted for a matching dresser & night stand combo. A wing chair in the corner will be a nice place to read a book and relax for the evening, and an oversized mirror will be great when getting ready in the morning!

I looking forward to setting everything up and doing a big reveal!!
(If I can keep Catherine from peeking every 5 minutes…. LOL)
