a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of putting together a master bedroom for my long time friend Catherine & her hubby Michael in Raleigh. their new home is bursting with potential and the first room they wanted to tackle was the empty master bedroom, this would be their anniversary gift to one another.

since they were ready to retire the mis-matched furniture pieces accumulated throughout college, I had a blank slate to work with.  a new king size bed was a must for this large open space and Catherine also wanted lots of storage. I chose a dresser & a pair of nightstands with plenty of drawers to accommodate this need. I also wanted to utilize an odd corner with a comfy arm chair, giving Michael a place to read.

all in all, this room turned out to be a relaxing retreat with fresh colors suited for both of their tastes.

 I am excited to move through their home one room at a time to get it looking like a young professional couple lives here.
