on the boards: Belcher Projects

we’ve got a ton of new projects going on and this post is dedicated to the Belcher family! it is such a compliment to get a referral from another client, so thanks Tracie Renfrow for sending your friend my way!

my client Beth contacted me after meeting with a number of designers and not finding her perfect match, she even went as far as trying to work with the designers at pottery barn but her hubby quickly put an end to that as he didn’t want the whole house to look like a PB showroom. thanks Brian! she was a little nervous at first, having seen all of our bright, colorful designs, she didn’t think I would have anything suitable for her calm, neutral taste. I am excited to say that she fell in love with a few designs and choosing one was a challenge! we instantly clicked and I can’t wait to put together all of her spaces in a few weeks.

phase one:
up first is the dining room; we need to keep all of the existing furniture, so I proposed moving the large china cabinet to the side wall on the right hand side, shifting everything down to the left, installing a new chandelier, and creating a new vignette with a pretty console, mirror & lamps!

take a look at my design plan.. with new window treatments & area
rug, the space will definitely look finished off!

next up is the great room & kitchen, in here we are doing a complete overhaul- everything is going! the neutral color scheme will carry throughout but in here we adding a touch of soft blue!

the last room to get a makeover is the ‘hangout room’- this is a small bedroom turned hangout room for the Belcher boys to play games, watch tv & have their friends over in. I plan to wallpaper the back wall where the sofa will go, incorporate a new media cabinet and fun window treatments. the rug will really pop with all of the greys we are doing in here!

I am looking forward to working through this family’s home to update everything and give them a fresh look. phase 2 will consist of Brian’s office and the master bedroom! Can’t wait for the installs, be sure to check back in on this one!!
