installed! kitchen reno

I am thrilled to finally reveal the kitchen renovation that I just finished up for the Comer family. After months of waiting for that one special piece to complete the space, I couldn’t be happier with the end result.  The family has been living in their Cotswold home for a few years now, and getting to know what works and doesn’t work for them has taken some time. It’s been a process redesigning all of the other spaces in their home and the kitchen was the last thing on the list. With what initially started out as an idea, Patty knew she would eventually pull the trigger on her dream kitchen.  She contracted DiFabion Remodeling for the redesign and consulted with me for all of the pretty design & aesthetic elements within the space. Working as a team with this group was super easy and the craftsmanship is exquisite!  With much anticipation, lets jump right in!

Before the reno, the kitchen felt dark, it wasn’t inviting and didn’t flow with the rest of the house. Patty wanted a more modern, open feel. She also wanted to bring the outdoors in and the new design definitely incorporates all of these wishes.

the wall of sliding doors retract to create an inviting indoor/outdoor space!

a year or so ago, we did a temporary fix to update this eating area with some color using the large art piece as a jumping off point….. but its time for an over haul here too!

now this side feels like a moody modern space to have a dinner party!
I love the eclectic vibe here…

let’s look at some more details!!

the reno included a new powder room & mudroom too!

Living through a renovation can be hard, especially when you’ve lost your kitchen for 6+ months, but the end result is totally worth it 🙂

until next time…..
design swell. live well
