I’ve done a few rooms in the Harris’ home and I have enjoyed getting to know Ellen better over the years. She is always so sweet and really trusts my design eye. This time around she was ready to overhaul her master bedroom. I think her hubby was ready long before she actually pulled the trigger.. the room before was a catch-all; laundry piled up in here, the kids left their belongings in here, there was a lonely chair with very outdated fabric on it, and the only thing new was the mid-century bed she recently purchased. So, it was time! Aside from the bed, Ellen also purchased some bedding from West Elm, so I had to work around that, no biggie. I really love the feel of this room and the colors work beautifully. Lets take a look!
The room before had builder beige walls, I wanted to make a big impact in here and I’m loving the wall color we chose; Sherwin Williams ‘web gray’ it brings a ton of warmth in here!
the lonely chair got a facelift with new velvet fabric!
I love this room, it is so different than my other designs. It really feels like a page from the West Elm catalogue! Up next, we will be tackling the Family Room & Dining Room!
I am looking forward to that!
design swell. live well.
