Hey guys!
I’m finally ready to reveal an install that I have recently wrapped up. This one took a few days to complete and I did it all while the family was down at the beach on their vacation. It was awesome to get a text message when they got home saying how they loved their ‘new’ home and that the whole family was running around the house screaming! haha!! Beth and I clicked instantly and after her many attempts to find a designer to create a look specifically for her, she almost gave up until she was referred to us by another client. I would say beth’s style is transitional with lots of neutral colors, clean and calm, with a few doses of color mixed in. Lets jump in and take a look at what I was able to do for this family!!
Dining Room: this is the first room you see when you walk into the Belcher’s home. Their current furniture was in good condition so I suggested we do a few things to spruce up and with some minor adjustments to the furniture placement and lighting this room looks totally different.
So, in here we shifted the table & the light fixture to the left which created a larger space for the china cabinet on the far right wall. I set up a new focal point on the back wall with a console table, lamps and a mirror. A new rug defines the space and really finishes it off. Oh, and we can’t forget the new paint color that takes us far away from builder beige.. benjamin moore revere pewter is a good taupey gray, it definitely warms the space up!
Living Room: this room got a major overhaul, out with the old and in with the new!! The old furniture was dark & heavy, paired with the wall color it was really bringing this room down instead of up. I really wanted to lighten the space to create an airy, inviting space.
We kept the same layout with 2 sofa’s and added in 2 reclining swivel gliders in front of the fireplace. I filled in an empty wall with a new vignette to include a console table with lamps and a large art piece. Lastly, a large area rug softens the space to make it feel more cozy! I accentuated the tall ceilings with sheer draperies on the windows, I love how this turned out!
Tomorrow I will show you the other spaces we completed, stay tuned for a complete look at the Belcher’s home!
