hey guys,
i haven’t disappeared yet, i’ve been busy wrapping up designs for current clients in hopes to get everything ordered and in the works while i am out on maternity leave….
one of my current projects is the downstairs of the Reynold’s home. i enjoy working with sarah, she always trusts my eye and design ideas, and i love that! we finished up with their master bedroom in december and she’s been ready for the next phase. this time around we will be tackling the downstairs, which consists of sprucing up the foyer & dining room, and overhauling the office & living room…while we’re at it, a few things are happening in the kitchen space too, like new lighting, bar stools and a rug which will tie together the large open living/kitchen space.
lets take a look at the designs!
the foyer is getting a new area rug & we are recovering an antique arm chair with a fun fabric. in the dining room, we are keeping all of the existing furniture, painting the room a refreshing watery color, reupholstering the dining chair seats, adding in new lamps on the buffet and hanging a dainty chandelier. we are also moving the current living room rug to this space and reworking the draperies for these windows..
the current home office boasts a large matching furniture set that is too heavy for the space. there is also a love seat, bookcase and an oversized rug that fills the entire room. I want to soften the space by using open etageres combined with a smaller executive desk on the back wall, a floating glass desk in the center of the room with a smaller rug under foot and a mirror that will bounce light around instead of a heavy hutch piece. a cream painted filing cabinet with lamps and art will create interest as it is different than the other desk pieces. a simple grey velvety fabric will go on the love seat and new draperies will make the space a little more feminine.
the family loves color and i couldn’t be more excited that they picked this design. the inspiration started with the main curtain fabric which I love. its a whimsical floral that has lots of colors to pull from. in here we are doing a new sectional sofa, a pair of reclining swivel chairs in a deep navy fabric, a large media cabinet, a new console table to house a pair of funky agate lamps, and a neutral storage ottoman to ground the colors in here. theres a lot going on but I know it will look great!
be sure to check back on the install and reveal of this project!!
