i finally had time to swing by and photograph the three bedrooms i designed for holly and brian natwick’s children. we’ve been so busy; i usually don’t like this much time to lag between install and pictures, but better late than never!
before starting the designs, there had to be some rearranging. the oldest daughter caroline and her brother conner switched rooms so the girls could share the jack-n-jill bath; this gave conner his own bathroom. we started with the paint scheme and went from there. let’s take a look at each room…
Celia’s Room
the walls in celia’s room were already painted sherwin williams ‘topsail’
celia’s style is more eclectic, think anthropologie, and she loves purple. it was fun pulling her room together through interesting fabrics, colors and accessories.
Connor’s Room
we started by painting the existing green walls ben moore’s ‘coastal fog’ for a true tan.
conner already had bedding, so i just added fun fabrics to kick it up a notch.
some new art, a new overhead and this room looked much more tied together.
Caroline’s room
we started by painting the tan walls in ben moore’s ‘dusk to dawn’.
the perfect backdrop to all the preppy fabrics going in this room!
and there you have it; three great rooms for three great kids. we’ve already started on a kid’s lounge as well as an updated living room, dining room and foyer.
stay tuned for the design boards on those projects, enjoy!
