hi everyone, it’s week two of the ORC with Linda of blog ‘calling it home.’ this past week, my main goal was to get the closet designed and ordered, and get some paint on the walls.
have you ever heard of easy closets? one of my sweetest clients turned me on to this company, and they are fantastic! she raved about them, so i thought i’d give it a try. it saved me tons of time and stress; a much better option than trying to put an IKEA closet system together!
all you have to do is pick out the style, color and hardware, and one of their reps will email you. the next step is to send your dimensions. i sent a floor plan and elevations since i have windows in my room, and told them how much hanging space vs. shelving/drawers i wanted. within ten minutes, i had a full closet design in my inbox. you can make changes to the elevations on their website, and once you have the layout you want, you purchase the package. i loved the layout they sent, so i went ahead and ordered it. i didn’t order their hardware, i wanted something more unique.
here is what you can expect to receive, this is my closet design.
the entire system ships via UPS and only takes two days to arrive! i can’t even tell you how excited i am!!!! once the structure is up, it’s going to take everything in me not to start hanging and styling!
to prepare for the closet system installation, the walls needed a new coat of paint. because i have plans for bold doses of color, i kept the walls simple. i picked up a gallon of BEHR ultra white paint & primer in one. mark and i had a little painting party, complete with karaoke! FYI, this little BOSE speaker is a must have!
this week i’m going to focus on getting the closet system installed once it arrives, and possibly hunting down hardware for the drawers. head over to calling it home to check in on the other guest participants. support is always appreciated!
design swell. live well.
