looking out my window and seeing the bare limbs of late autumn trees got me thinking…
i’ve been obsessed with faux bois (or fake wood) for some years now and thought i’d show you a few ways to easily incorporate it into your home.
there are both bold and subtle ways to use it, but whichever path you choose, you’ll be amazed how much interest faux bois can add.
fabrics are the easy go-to…
but what about some accent pieces…

i’ve always been a fan of these porcelain logs by klein reid
they are stunning in their form
wallpaper is a great option and is actually a neutral backdrop, not overwhelming as one would think.
i absolutely love the juxtaposition of the rustic wallpaper with these
sleek modern furnishings
i think a big misnomer is that faux bois is a ‘modern’ concept. while it tends to show up in modern interiors often, it’s also at home in traditional settings.
if you’re not brave enough to try this in large doses, start small. i think these
soaps are adorable and would add some sass to a powder room.
