It’s always nice to hear from someone who was referred to us! And a bonus.. I have worked with her some in the past on her nursery! My client, Elizabeth Gray was referred to us by the Nemeth’s to help out with her master bedroom. The Gray’s live in a condo in Myers Park and their master bedroom was screaming for a new grown up makeover.
Their current look consists of two antique dressers slammed next to each other on one wall and a queen size iron bed on the opposite wall. There is a chair & a bench in the space and Elizabeth says she hits her legs every time she tries to access ‘her’ dresser… hopefully that will tell you how small this bedroom is..
My solution is to give them a huge new dresser, one I spotted at Market in October… I love the rustic look of it and the slate pulls. I also want to do a storage bench at the end of the bed that opens up to create even more space to storage. The wow factor is going to be the wall of drapery panels that I want to do behind the bed (which sits in front of a double window). This will really make the space feel more intimate and grown up. We will keep her existing night stands that her father built and put two new terra cotta red lamps on top. I would love to do a pretty new light fixture, but I’m afraid they won’t be able to loose the ceiling fan, maybe there is a better one out there. A new plush area rug will really pull the room together!
