by now, i’m sure everyone on the planet knows that pantone’s color of the year is emerald green. if you didn’t, i’m glad you’re now in the know 😉

pantone’s spring color forecast is a collection of 4 bold hues, including emerald green, that are sure to wake up your rooms and make people take notice!
since you already know of my obsession with jade and green in general,
this post is focused on the blue side. let’s look at pantone’s ‘monaco blue.’

i’ll be the first to admit, i don’t run to blue as my first choice when designing rooms, at least not this shade of blue, but i’m coming around…

when my idol, sarah richardson, used blue as the overall color for the dining room in the 4th season of sarah’s house, i fell in love with the color.
(i also love the horse art, makes me smile every time i look at it!)

so, you’re not keen on the idea of an entirely blue room? how about using the color on furniture pieces or as an accent wall…
