recently, new clients Kristina & Adam contacted me to help them finish off their open concept living/kitchen/dining room… the couple found us on houzz and were immediately drawn to our versatile design concepts. these young professionals need more than finishing off in their new home and I have just the plan for them.

the current space is dark & gray, I plan to lighten and pull together some of their existing pieces with some new furnishings for a cohesive adult look, which is exactly what they are after.

I am proposing a new 96″ sofa upholstered in a vintage velvet fabric and a new accent chair, a funky wing back in a gray leather.. since the couple is slightly afraid of color, I am keeping the palette simple & neutral with pops of blues throughout. In the niche to the left of their fireplace, I plan to use wallpaper as a feature. I would like for them to relocate the TV to the niche so the new sofa is directly facing it. We have also talked about adding in a media cabinet for storage…

kitchen/dining concept

In the dining area, the floors are a dark walnut, the table is a dark stained wood, and their current chairs are a dark leather… I want to break up some of the darkness with a new rug that will help define this area, and add in new head chairs.
Silver lamps on their buffet will help as well.

After I come in and work my magic, the couple is sure to love their new space!
I can’t wait!!!
