all about elephants

i love elephants, such a gentle animal in such a large body.  those big floppy ears and adorable trunks!  i can’t explain it, but they make me smile.  i guess it’s like my cow obsession, but that’s a story for another day.  today i’m sharing some ways to incorporate elephants into your home decor.

while there’s no shortage of juvenile products out there, i’d rather focus on the chic…

wouldn’t this eames elephant be precious in a nursery or playroom?  i personally love the ice gray version, but other colors are available at dwr.com.

these artsy elephants are made from vintage wallpapers, check out the other patterns and animals from romp.

as soon as i saw this, i knew i had to have it.  i just picked up this print from parima  creative studio on etsy.  there are two other patterns to choose from, or you can purchase as a set.

i’m crazy about these vintage elephant consoles. take a look at this beauty from ruthie sommers’ pool house. the pop of red is amazing against the pale blue walls.

these are great for their intended purpose of garden stools, but look how great they look when used as side tables. a little of the unexpected instantly adds designer flair.

small elephant heads mounted to the wall make great hooks. i just picked up a silver pair by broyhill at homegoods; they’re getting a makeover with gold spray paint.

scope out etsy, ebay and local antique shops for brass figurines. remember to group them in ODD numbers!

so there you go, a little round up of options on incorporating elephants into your space.  but i’ll leave you with this stunning cartier ring i found on 1stdibs.  i hate to even ask what this thing costs, but i like it!  design swell.  live well.
