oh my goodness you guys, i have been so excited to share this install with all of you! the install was a few months ago in raleigh, but we were waiting on the perfect piece of art for the dining room to arrive. that’s just how it goes sometimes.
my client brooke LOVES color, maybe even more than i do. her home was full of reds and greens and had been that way for 10 years. she was ready for a change and that’s were i came in. i knew we would hit it off the minute i saw her chartreuse front door, that’s my kind of client; i couldn’t wait to get started!
let’s take a look at some before images. there was a lot going on. the custom sofas just needed a reupholstery job and the walls and built-ins needed a refresh.
in the dining room, brooke couldn’t wait to ditch the last of her husband’s ‘bachelor’ furniture. the heavy wood and dark paint colors weren’t doing this room any favors. luckily, she had this great vintage console we could work with.
now that you’ve seen the starting point, let’s take a look at the design options. i loved them all!
i just LOVE how the spaces turned out, and can we talk about the fabulous foyer fixture??? i knew it was the perfect light as soon as i laid my eyes on it! i have serious house envy!!! too bad the art didn’t make it for the shoot, but brooke was so sweet to send some pics of the art on the wall. check it out, the perfect finishing touch.
i certainly hope you enjoyed this reveal as much as i enjoyed designing it and seeing it come to fruition. i LOVE my job, don’t i always say that? design swell. live well.
