as i mentioned a couple weeks ago, evaru is taking our design style abroad and we are beyond thrilled; london here we come! but before i show you what’s to come, a little back history on my clients…

the maddox family hired me a few years ago to design a unisex playroom for their son jackson and daughter carter (it’s the cute red and green playroom on our site). the project was a success for the kids, but the parents loved it too! fast forward three years later…i’m sitting at my desk and get an email from robert maddox asking if i would be interested in designing their new home in london. well, you can imagine the millisecond it took me to answer that question, YES, YES, YES!!!

a few caveats though… at the time, they hadn’t found a house yet, and they knew they were moving around the middle of february. not much time to design an entire house i hadn’t even seen yet! regardless, i went to work immediately; already knowing their style, i could wait on the measurements and pictures once they found their new home. a preliminary meeting with courtney confirmed i was on the right track, and i took things to warp speed from there.

since they were so fond of their playroom, i found a way to reuse elements from the original design. this will definitely help it feel more like ‘home,’ especially for the kids.

to date, everything is ordered and already starting to arrive at our receiver. our seamstress has the many bolts of fabulous fabric and is working away on pillows and panels. the custom furniture is underway and being delivered in less than two weeks.
it all gets put on a boat, ships across the atlantic, and waits for me to put it all together!
