it’s hard to believe it’s already week 4 of the one room challenge with linda of blog calling it home!  i must admit, my day job is getting most of my attention these days.  lindsey and i just got back from market in high point, always a fun trip, but among all the other traveling this month, i feel i’m falling behind on my master lounge.

after pleading with my dad, the wall will be finished tuesday of next week.  my installer is popping over to measure for the wallpaper monday, so i finally feel things are coming together.  better figure out the paint color for the room!

i thought i knew the color i wanted, but then i had the idea to use sherwin williams ‘chip it’ program.  have you tried it yet?  it’s way fun, in my opinion, and takes the guesswork out of picking paint colors.  i simply uploaded the pic of my fabulous wallpaper and this is what happened…

how cool is that; a perfectly paired palette at your fingertips! my original choices included these sherwin williams

dark knight, inkwell, naval

after looking at other rooms online painted sherwin williams ‘inkwell’ i think it’s the best choice. i want the walls to read dark, not an in-between navy and royal blue color. ‘inkwell’ is actually on the strip with the black paint colors on the SW paint deck.
